sNr Badges

WORK IN PROGRESS (Beta)

The sNr Badge system is designed to allow everyone to easily show which kind of training they have or can offer and at what level of specific activity they are when it comes to ponyplay, both for grooms/trainers and animals. In addition staff members and sNr animals have to have some basic badges to show they are able to properly operate sim equipment and understand what said equipment entails. This is to ensure quality service and avoid panic when changes in RLV restrictions cause drastic effects.

There are 5 levels of badges available, but not all badges come in those 5 levels. For more info to each badge please see the following lists.

How to get Badges?

All Badges are given out by certified sNr Trainers, who have at least the basic version of the badge themselves. If you are in doubt how to find those feel free to poke in groupchat at any time or visit the monday classes as teachers tend to be certified in their topics.

  • Basic Badges (level 0 and 1) can in general be gotten through participation in the respective sNr Monday Classes or via a private demonstration of the respective knowledge.
  • Advanced Badges (level 2-4) can be earned through performing badge-specific practical feats to show skill and dedication to the activity only. These badges are not required for any Roles, but give quite the bragging rights when one shows them off.
  • sNr Monday Classes are each Monday at noon SLT, or are available at other times upon request towards Katinka or Cali. Knowledge demonstrations can be performed by certified trainers who have the required badge themselves, if in doubt poke Katinka or Cali.

Most of these badges are available as versions for animals and versions for handlers, simply as being good at steering a cart and directing a pony that steers a cart are quite different activities.

Animal Badges

A note ahead of the specifics, while badges can are usually not awarded retro-actively for things achieved in the past; some things like lap count or GTFO levels can not be distinguished by time, in these cases the total amount stands, just augmented by a current show under the supervision of a qualified trainer.

  • Whip Circle
    Currently undefined
Bronze would simply be a certain amount without faults, for Silver or latest for Gold knowledge of at least one of the "advanced" styles would be required.
  • Lap Yard
Bronze: A total of 500 laps, 50 of those have to be done under trainer supervision after the implementation of the badge system.
Silver: A total of 2500 laps, 100 of those have to be done under trainer supervision after the implementation of the badge system.

In all cases one of the lower badges can be dropped for a additional higher level badge. For example a mare that does not want to do cart racing at all, could skip that but would have to compensate with higher levels in other fields.

A silver badge can be awarded when a trainer (or other staff member) teaches seven classes on a subject Maybe 7 times if it is the OR instructs a pony or mare to make noticeable progress in a skill (witnessed by a qualified trainer) twice OR five times if it is a combination of classes and individual instructions.

A gold badge would be more challenging than just doing more of the same, but it is currently not defined.
