sNr Badges

WORK IN PROGRESS (Beta)

The sNr Badge system is designed to allow everyone to easily show which kind of training they have or can offer and at what level of specific activity they are when it comes to ponyplay, both for grooms/trainers and animals. In addition staff members and sNr animals have to have some basic badges to show they are able to properly operate sim equipment and understand what said equipment entails. This is to ensure quality service and avoid panic when changes in RLV restrictions cause drastic effects.

There are 5 levels of badges available, but not all badges come in those 5 levels. For more info to each badge please see the following list.

White Badges (level 0)

These are badges that represent the very basic knowledge to become an active member of sNr staff. They can be earned by visiting a class or just demonstrating the required knowledge.

  • Ponyplay etiquette, (SL etiquette)
  • sNr rules, sim rules, wiki
  • Mare Control, Mare Hearing
  • sNr Staff HUD and Staff Vendor
  • Whip signals

Black Badges (level 1)

These are the core proficiency badges. They can be earned by visiting a class or just demonstrating the required knowledge. Some of them may also require a practical display.

  • Carting
    • Mainland (GTFO, Caravan)
    • Racing (Events)
    • Offroad (Blindfolded)
    • Saddle Riding
  • Flower Dressage (both styles?)
  • Silent Dressage
    • Traverse
    • Leashed
  • Slalom
  • Barrels
  • Steeples
    • Blindfolded Steeples
  • Polo
  • Event Etiqutte
  • Roleplay
  • Vetinary
  • Whip Circle, Lap Yard
  • Pony Tack

(Beta) Potential badges

We arent quite sure if we should make badges for these topics. Feedback would be very welcome:

  • Event Hosting, Organisation
  • Classes
  • Competitions
  • other?
  • Builder, Scripter
  • Greeter?

Bronze / Silver / Gold Badges (level 2-4)

These are achievement badges that show more than basic knowledge. They should not be to easy to achieve and the higher badges may even be intentionally difficult to obtain. There maybe different ways to obtain any given achievement badge.

For example the bronze carting badge could be automatically awarded if all the Carting specialty badges are completed.

For example the bronze caravan badge could be awarded for simply completing one caravan from start to finish (Even though that might be to easy). Silver then for completing 3 caravans OR completing one caravan as pony and trainer each OR completing one caravan without anybody on the cart crashing or needing to reset or editing the cart (clean run). Gold could be for completing all of the different ways to get silver.

Badge Categories

(Beta, we are not sure yet how to implement these) We already got "Basic Knowledge", which is all the white badges which staff members and ponies should have? Next i would make one category for all the carting and saddle stuff, as well as whip circle and Lap yard. Because its all heavily based on whip commands and moving precisely as ordered. Then one Category for Slalom, Barrels, Steeples. Event stuff and Polo could go into a category, as polo is basically very team based? A category for all the dressage variations. A Roleplay category, which could also include stuff like puppyplay and such. Maybe Miscelanious or so for the rest?
