sNr Ethos

Ponygirls or mares exist to serve. While other stables practice a more playful version of ponyplay, sNr is focused on the D/s aspect instead. Trained sNr ponies and sNr livestock will always have their priorities clear. Obedience must be their only guiding principle. Pleasure may be present or it may not. They must learn to stop seeking it and realise that they are not here to have fun, but to be useful ponies. When they stand in their stalls waiting, they are not hoping to be served, but making themselves available and hoping to be useful.

A secondary goal is to always keep the pony in her small pony world, limited to pony activities. Ponies are kept in stables, they don't do any non-pony activities (like dancing) and the boundary between the worlds of ponies and their betters is always very clearly defined with no gray lines. Ponies don't enter residences or, generally, places not directly related to ponyplay, such as clubs, stores, beaches.

Sim Rules

Visitors are welcome to wander around the stable and visit the ponies. The only thing we ask of visitors is to respect the theme of the sim and it's regular residents.

  • Locked items stays locked, even if you could unlock them.
  • Don't cheat around locked doors.
  • Don't cheat around Mare Hearing, IM or other restrictions.
  • Don't move livestock or other submissives out of the sim. Not with RLV, not by coercion or any other means.

How to interact with sNr as a guest

When coming to sNr as a guest you might notice some oddities, such as that the beautiful ponygirls can usually be admired in their stables but are both leashed and locked inside such stables, preventing you to interact with them. Another thing to note is that they might seem to ignore what you are saying.

According to the sNr Ethos ponies are strictly controlled animals, which are kept locked in their stables until grooms, dominants or trainers of the sim take them out to put them to work and training. This includes many of them using a system calles Mare Hearing (MH), which prevents them from understanding human speech in chat, and their ability to speak directly is also removed through the bit. If you like to interact with one of the ponies you need to likely do it similar as you would with any domestic animal. The overwhelming majority of them loves pats and appleslices. If you are a guest and would like to take out a pony for a ride around the sim or see how it performs in training the best way is to look around for one of the human stable roles (see also stable structure below), recognizable by grouptags such as "sNr Groom/Dominant/Trainer". If in a pinch the sNr Kitties can usually also open stables and help people interacting with the ponies... they might require bribes in the form of tuna though ;) For general Questions about the sim its best to flag down members with the "sNr Staff" tag, as these are currently working to help with administrative buisness or to help visitors. If no one is available asking one of the human stable members gives good results as well. There are also other animals arund sNr - such as puppies, kitties and cows - which are usually restricted based on the wishes of their owners without stable rules specifying the kind of restrictions. These should be easier approachable than ponies and most enjoy treats. Finally, you might see living statues and other objectified people in the sim. These usually have very limited means to interact due to their current role.

sNr Stable Structure

There are several roles available at sNr, depending on the wishes and needs of the respective stable members. By showing the appropiate group tag for their current role members of the stable can signal that they are available in the capacity of that role. May it be as sNr Staff to help visitors or do administrative work, sNr Pony to serve and be trained, or even sNr Trainer to make use of the sim submissives. Wearing the respective grouptag allows people to see what kind of interaction you are interested in and also how you currently stand in the stable hierarchy. Of course you are also free to wear such tags outside of the sim, you are welcome to spread the word about sNr gridwide as well.

  • The Neutral Tags and Roles
    • sNr Stables Guest
This is the group tag that every member of the Stones N Rubber Stables group has, it should only be used as a transitional tag until you have the appropriate tag for your role.
'Door Opener' is not a role as such and not accompanied by a group tag, it just what the name applies, an entry in the sNr staff system that allows you to open (most) doors. This is included in all staff roles.

    • sNr Sim Manager
Roughly comparable to 'Stable Mistress' and 'Stable Master' in other ponyplay sims, this is mostly an administrative role, not limited to Dominants. Their word is law and their judgement is final.
    • sNr Stable Owner
As the name implies. The movers and makers behind the Stones N Rubber Stable who pay for the sim. You won't see this tag often.
    • sNr Veterinary
A roleplay tag to be used by any member of sNr who likes to perform as a veterinary, dentist or nurse when interacting with livestock.
  • The Dominant Tags and Roles
    • sNr Dominant
The group tag for members of sNr Stables who identify as dominant or dominant-leaning switches and who haven't yet passed the trainer test, or don't want to become a trainer. Yes, you can boss the grooms around with this tag.
    • sNr Trainer
Dominants who have passed the trainer test. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of sNr rules and items (MC, MH, plugins etc), the ability to train ponies and mares in Mare Hearing without cheating around it and a working knowledge of pony disciplines and etiquette. For the latter we accept qualifications from other stables (currently only FFF and TT).

    • sNr Senior Trainer
Trainers who have demonstrated advanced knowledge of pony disciplines and etiquette and showed dedicated support for Stones N Rubber Stables (e.g. by hosting events, training and fostering junior trainers and grooms). Awarded by the Sim Managers on a case by case basis. Not a matter of seniority or a standardized test.

  • The submissive Tags and Roles
All submissives must have an RLV compliant viewer. The Mare Control is free of charge for all grooms and livestock.
    • sNr Groom
One of the entry roles for submissives. Also the role that Ponies and non-permanent Mares serve in while not in tack. Subordinate to trainers for learning purposes. No special qualifications required. Mostly menial tasks. Of course submissives can also stay completely in the Groom role and not do pony time. Senior grooms may get cleared to do actual training.
  • The Livestock
All livestock must wear a Mare Control and Mare Hearing. Mare Control is provided free of charge upon admission, a Mare Hearing device must be purchased (L$ 800).
    • sNr Pony
One of the entry roles for submissives at sNr Stables. Can be restricted by Mare Hearing and Mare Control with moderate restrictions.
    • sNr Mare
One of the entry roles for submissives at sNr Stables. Mares are heavily restricted like livestock, but can answer IM. They can be turned into livestock after a period of time served as mare.
    • sNr Livestock
Mares restricted by Mare Hearing and Mare Control with heavy restrictions and locked for a set time period.
Permanent Mares use the same 'sNr Livestock' group tag as other mares. They also share the same restrictions. While Permanent Mares can take their time off, they cannot serve in any other roles at sNr, ever. This role can only granted by sNr Sim Managers to mares that have served at least 3 months in their role. The decision to grant or deny this role is at the sole discretion of the Manager.

Pony or Mare, the livestock question

Ponies and Mares seem pretty much the same and are sometimes used interchangeably. In sNr we differ between pony and mare on a more elaborate way.

  • Pony
A pony is adult human who is wearing pony play accessoires. Their restrictions can be low to full, a pony may IM and emote. Their training consist of pulling a cart, whip circle but also they are trained in all pony sports. Ponies may roam around freely. If a trainer has the option to pick a pony or a mare for training, they will take the pony. Ponies are the proud of their owners and the stable.
  • Mare
A mare is also wearing tack but the restrictions are full to very strict. Mare Control and Mare Hearing have to be worn. A mare can't start IM but reply if she gets an incoming message. They should be kept in mouselook all the time. Their training consist mostly of pulling a cart and the whip circle or doing laps in the yard. If a trainer has the option to pick a pony or a mare for dumb work, they will take the mare. Mares are beasts of burden and kept as dumb as possible to fulfil their workload.
  • Livestock
An experienced mare who can cope with the strictest set of restrictions. Livestock are not allowed to speak at all, nor can they understand humans. This may result in them not being chosen as priority when it comes to training or work. They may spend a lot of time in the stable although they should be working harder than anyone else.

Being in your stall and waiting is part of the life, mares might have to wait more. Ponies may not "demand" training, they are here to obey the trainers and their owners. So you have the choice between the red sugar lump of being a pony or the blue bitter pill of being a mare. It's not an easy decision and you should listen to your inner voice which path you like more. The meaning of the two expressions is very different and it certainly sets the right mood for "ponyplay". Choose wisely!

How to become a sNr Trainer

In order to achieve the respectable title of sNr Trainer aspiring stablemembers (usually grooms or dominants, but technically the position is also open for ponies and other animals) will have to perform a series of tests in order to show their understanding of both ponyplay in general, as well as the unique aspects of bondage via Mare Control and Mare Hearing which apply to sNr.

TO BE EDITED ONCE CONSENSUS IS REACHED

Grooms may speak to a Senior Trainer to arrange to take an exam in order to qualify as an sNr Trainer. The exam mostly comprises of a theory test and some supervised action covering pony etiquette, Carting, Steeples, Whip circle, Slalom, Barrels and Mare Hearing and Mare Control. Most of what you will need is covered in this guide so you just need to practice it. Please note that knowledge about dressage is only required for Senior Trainers and above, but certainly knowledge of this is a benefit, as it gives you something different to teach the animals.

The position of Senior Trainer and above is usually offered on an invitational basis, after a member of staff has demonstrated their commitment and ability at sNr for some time. Some of the current senior staff here started as grooms.
