Setup Pony Gestures

Pony Gestures.png

It is important that the pony sets up their gestures correctly as this might be their only way of communicating and showing respect to their trainers. The gestures shown here are found at the Vendor wheel shown on the stable map.

First of all, it is worth deactivating the non-pony gestures whilst a mare. Also make sure that the shortcuts listed here are set up so all the gestures can be triggered via key presses. You can view your gestures by pressing CTRL +G. To activate the gestures, find the items in the inventory and right-click to Activate/Deactivate.

Gestures Overview.png

If you have the Sassy AO, deactivate Curtsy, Stomps Once and Stomps Twice and activate the ones you find in the Sassy folder instead. These are better because they include motion and sound.

Note: On a Mac, the function keys (F1, F2, etc) are assigned to functions such as to play music, change the volume and brightness etc. If you want them recognised as "traditional" function keys you have two options. Either push a special key called Fn together with the function key, or go to the system preferences and in the keyboard section, change their behaviour so that the function keys pressed alone will be traditional function keys, while pressed together with Fn, they will access the special functions.

What the Gestures mean

  • Curtsy [Ctrl +F1]
It is polite and respectful to curtsy to trainers to greet them or thank them for their time training you.
  • Kneel [F7] (Provided by Mare Control)
It is important that an animal kneels when unavailable so not to waste the time of trainers.

  • Neigh [Shift +F2]
A Neigh is used much like a whinny when lonely or looking for other ponies.
  • Nicker [Ctrl +F2]
A Nicker is like a snigger or snicker, it conveys amusement.
  • Release [F8] (Provided by Mare Control)
This allows the pony to stand up again if they previously used kneel to show they are AFK.
  • Sighs [F2]
A sigh is a long, deep audible exhalation expressing sadness, relief, tiredness, or similar.
  • Snorts! [F4]
Snorting indicates displeasure. Use with caution, it may be punished!
  • Snorts!! [Ctrl +F4]
Snorting loudly indicates extreme displeasure. Use wisely as a trainer may punish this insolence.
  • Stomp once [F5]
    One stomp means Yes.
  • Stomp twice [F6]
    Two stomps means No.
  • Whinnys! [F3]
A Whinny generally a greeting, or friendly indication to get out the way as the pony approaches pulling a cart.
  • Whinnys? [Ctrl +F3]
Using Whinny? Indicates the pony is confused, has a question or wants more information.
  • Yawns [F9]
This is used for the animal to indicate that they need to log off now, it is not meant to show they are bored. If you hear a pony yawn, then return them to their stall at the earliest opportunity. An animal should provide at least 10 minutes notice to allow time for this.
