If the animal is using an older pre-BOM (Bakes on Mesh) version of their body or tattoos, they will need to use the Omega applier items. In order to do this, they will likely need an Omega relay. If they don't already have one, the link for the Maitreya version is [https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Omega-System-Kit-Maitreya/6709966|Omega System Kit for Maitreya on SL Marketplace]
If the animal has a newer BOM body (with BOM enabled), then the animal simply needs to 'add' the appropriate tattoo item to their avi.

Ensure the Omega relay is being worn (if required), add the correct sNr Omega applier and click it. Choose a layer to apply to. Any will work, but you will need to ensure that the sNr tattoos are applied to a different layer to any existing tattoos, otherwise they will be overwritten.
The animal can then adjust the order in which tattoo layers are displayed.

It is very important that all ponies and mares that are stalled at sNr wear the correct tattoos for their classification (pony or mare/livestock). Animals should not be stalled (except in the guest stalls) without wearing the correct tattoo first. If you are a pony or mare, you will need a member of staff to assist you with obtaining the correct tattoos.

Obtaining an sNr tattoo

An animal will need to be accompanied by a member of staff to the 'Tattoos' board on the wall near the vendor wheel. Staff members must ensure the Staff HUD is being worn first, then click the tattoo board. A menu will appear, asking which animal to give the tattoos to.

Choosing the correct tattoo

The staff member will have to choose whether to give 'Pony', 'Mare' or 'Livestock' tattoos, and whether to include the hindquarter 'sNr' brand or not. The correct classification can be decided by answering this question.

The tattoos is applied to thigh area. It is available in black and in white. The only difference is aesthetic, depending which matches the animal's tack better. See examples below...

There is also an additional, optional tattoo which can be purchased from the vendor wheel next to the Tattoo board. This is NOT a valid classification tattoo. If worn, the relevant 'Livestock', 'Mare' or 'Pony' thigh tattoo above must also be worn.

Applying the tattoo

Once you have chosen the correct tattoo for the animal, applying tattoos and brands is generally more fun if done as part of a roleplay.

You can find the branding station behind the tattoo board, near the vendor wheel.

The animal will receive a folder containing a number of items. The correct item(s) to use will differ, depending on the animal's setup...

Newer bodies, using BOM

If the animal has a newer BOM body (with BOM enabled), then the animal simply needs to 'add' the appropriate tattoo item to their avi.

Add Tattoo Layer.png

The animal can then adjust the order in which tattoo layers are displayed.

Maitreya Lara, using appliers

If the animal is using a Maitreya Lara body an applier is also provided.

The animal needs to wear the Tattoo Layer in addition to the normal body. They then attach the applier and click on it to apply the tattoo and/or brand.
