Processing Animals

Deea: /* Mare Hearing */

Before starting the processing, it is useful to make sure the mare has read and completed the [[Animal Pre-Processing Guidance]] to make the process run more smoothly and have more of an RP bias.

Please note these instructions are geared towards Classic Mares, rather than Rubber Mares. Please refer to the separate section about [[Rubber_Mares|rubber mares]].

=== Give pony an sNr Brand ===
Go to the classification table on the wall near the vendor wheel. A menu will guide you through how to issue the appropriate classification tattoos and badges to the new mare. It also comes with omega appliers so it can be added to mesh bodies.<br />
Remind the pony that an omega relay will be likely needed. The URL for the Maitreya version is [https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Omega-System-Kit-Maitreya/6709966|Omega System Kit for Maitreya on SL Marketplace]

This RP can be more fun if done at the branding station round the back of the stables once the pony has the brands in their inventory.

Remember that proper branding is mandatory.<br />
If a pony is wearing a full rubber suit or equivalent then it might be better to use the brand in prim format instead and fit it appropriately. If the pony has a complex tattoo setup, you may wish to skip this stage so not to disturb their current tattoo setup.
=== Update Profile/Groups ===
Get the animal to clear their profile text and just put something like " [name] is an animal owned by sNr and stabled there."
If they have an owner, then state who their owner is.
For long term/hardcore mares or ponies it’s work getting them to clear or hide their groups so only sNr shows.
It is also worth getting them to change their profile picture to one showing their new form.
=== Consider Pony Name ===
It’s a good idea to give a mare/pony a more appropriate name. In cases where the animal is owned, it is the owner’s decision if this is done and what the new name will be. Obviously, ponies don’t need surnames. Remember to add the name to the Mare Hearing configuration.
=== Add to sNr Pony/Livestock Group ===
In the conversations area select Contacts and then the group tab.
Highlight Stones N Rubber Stables and press the Info button.
Select the Members and Roles Tab, and then the Members tab.
You can then search for the avatar and add the appropriate tag, or invite them as appropriate if they are not already a member.
=== Mare Hearing ===
If the animal is to be classified as a mare rather than pony, get the animal to purchase and wear the sNr Mare Hearing tool. It costs 800 L$, but is worth it for the experience and it helps finance the ongoing running of the sim. Mare Hearing for ponies is also allowed, but optional.

=== Staff terminal steps ===
Touch the terminal and select-> Staff Vendor -> sNr Update<br>

Select to have the box delivered to you rather than the pony.<br>

When you get the box, rez it.<br>

Click the rezzed box.<br>

Select to deliver the new Mare Control to the pony being processed when the menu appears.<br>

Remember, if they have Mare Hearing then they are entitled to a free update, otherwise they should buy it to help the sim.

=== Assign to a stall ===
Take the animal to an appropriate stall and leash them inside, and then click the names panel on the front of the stall door. Choose an empty slot and select their avatar from the list to add their name, then type in an appropriate name for the stall. The sNr main stalls are for animals available for training by sNr staff who have bridles with the plugin and wear the Mare Control and/or Mare Hearing. Private or guest ponies are welcome to use the guest stalls at the far end.
=== Lock Gear ===
Lock their tail, head harness and any other unlocked gear. If they have an owner, they need to lock items other than the bridle.
=== Lock/configure MC/MH ===
Lock their Mare control. Click it or type /321 mare [name] control. This will also lock the Mare Hearing if it is worn. It’s easier to use the Staff HUD so you don’t have to type /321 each time (see separate section).
Using their Mare Control:
When they are in their stall, set TP Options | Set Position so they will relog to this location.
Do not allow TP Options | TP all unless appropiate. That is, the mare is yours or the owner has authorised it. It allows everyone, not just staff, to teleport them. Use with caution.
Allow RLV | Touch HUD (as required). Useful if the pony uses some special hud for curtseys for example, but it is recommended that the pony uses the provided gestures that can be activated via key presses rather than a dedicated HUD.

=== Using their Mare Hearing ===
Turn on Allow Emotes (as required)
Set their pony Name so it appears correctly in local chat.
Turn on Mare Talk (as required).

Deea: /* The Group Tags and Roles */

== Visitors ==

Visitors are welcome to roam around the stable and visit the ponies.
The only thing we ask from visitors is to respect the theme of the sim and it's regular residents.
*Locked stuff stays locked, even if you could unlock.
*Don't cheat around locked doors.
*Don't cheat around Mare Hearing or IM restrictions.
*Don't move livestock or other submissives from the sim. Not with RLV, not by coercion or any other means.

== The Group Tags and Roles ==

Everybody should wear the appropriate group tag for their current role.

*The Neutral Tags and Roles
**sNr Stables Guest
**:This is the group tag that every member of the Stones N Rubber Stables group has, it should only be used as a transition until you have the proper tag for your role.
**:'Door Opener' is not a role as such and not accompanied by a group tag, it just what the name applies, an entry in the sNr staff system that allows you to open (most) doors. This is included in all staff roles.
**sNr Sim Manager
**:Roughly comparable to 'Stable Mistress' and 'Stable Master' at other ponyplay sims, this is mostly an adminstrative role, not limited to dominants. Their word is law and their judgment is final.
**sNr Stable Owner
**:As the name says. The movers and makers behind the Stones N Rubber Stable who pay for the sim. You won't see this tag often.
**sNr Veterinary
**:A roleplay tag to be used by any member of sNr who likes to perform as a veterinary, dentist or nurse when interacting with livestock.
*The Dominant Tags and Roles
**sNr Dominant
**:The group tag for members of sNr Stables that identify as dominant or dom-leaning switches and that have not passed the trainer test yet, or don't want to become trainers. Yes, you can boss the grooms around with this tag.
**sNr Trainer
**:Dominants who passed the trainer test. The candidates need to demonstrate knowledge of sNr rules and items (MC, MH, plugins etc), the ability to train ponies and mares in Mare Hearing without cheating around it and working knowledge of pony disciplines and etiquette. For the last part we accept credentials from other stables (currently only FFF).
**sNr Head Trainer
**:Trainers who have demonstrated advanced knowledge of pony disciplines and etiquette and showed dedicated support for Stones N Rubber Stables (e.g. by hosting events, training and fostering junior trainers and grooms). Awarded by the Sim Managers on a case by case basis. Not a matter of seniority or a standardized test.
*The submissive Tags and Roles
*:All submissives are required to have a RLV compliant viewer. The Mare Control is free of charge for all grooms and livestock.
**sNr Groom
**:One of the entry roles for submissives. Also the role that Ponies and non-permanent Mares serve in while not in tack. Subordinate to trainers. No special qualifications required. Mostly menial tasks. Of course submissives can also stay completely in the Groom role and not do Pony time. Senior grooms may get cleared to do actual training.
*The Livestock
*:All livestock need to wear a Mare Control and Mare Hearing. Mare Control is provided free of charge upon admission, a Mare Hearing device must be purchased (L$800).
**sNr Pony
**:One of the entry roles for submissives at sNr Stables. Can be restricted by Mare Hearing and Mare Control with moderate restrictions.
**sNr Livestock
**:Mares Restricted by Mare Hearing and Mare Control with heavy restrictions and locked for a set time period of usually 2 or 4 weeks.
**:Permanent Mares use the same 'sNr Livestock' group tag as other mares. They also share the same restrictions. While Permanent Mares can take their time off, they cannot serve in any other roles at sNr, ever. This role can only granted by sNr Sim Managers to mares that have served at least 3 months in their role. The decision to grant or deny this role is at the sole discretion of the Manager.

== Pony or Mare, the livestock question ==

Ponies and Mares seems pretty much the same and sometimes are used in identical ways. In sNr we differ between pony and mare on a more elaborate way.

*Pony
*:A pony is adult human who is wearing pony play accessoires. Their restrictions can be low to full, a pony may IM and emote. Their training consist of pulling a cart, whip cirlce but also they are trained in all pony sports. If a trainer has the option to pick a pony or a mare for training, they will take the pony. Ponies are the proud of their owners and the stable.

*Mare
*:A mare is also wearing tack but the restrictions are full to very strict. A mare can't IM and this feature should only be enabled in rare cases by staff. They should be kept in Mouselook all the time. Their training consist mostly of pulling a cart and the whip circle. If a trainer has the option to pick a pony or a mare for dumb work, they will take the mare. Mares are beasts of burden and kept as dumb as possible to fulfill their work load.

Being in your stall and waiting is part of the life, mares might have to wait more. Ponies may not "demand" training, they are here to obey the trainers and their owners.
So you have the choice between the red sugar lump of being a pony or the blue bitter pill of being a mare. It's not an easy decision and you should listen to your inner voice which path you like more. The meaning of the two expressions is very different and it certainly sets the right mood for "ponyplay". Choose wisely!

== Applications and Promotions ==

Applications

There are two boards in the stall for applications, one for livestock and one for staff. Both have 5 slots each for applicants, if slots are full we don't take anymore applications at this time. This is simply to avoid a endless list of applicants who are never online or around the sim. After processing the name will be removed from the board so there is a new slot available again. If we don't see you around the sim or hear from you, your name might be removed by administration.
If you have applied - regardless if staff or livestock - please be around the sim, participate in the sim/stable life and get in touch with people. Staff should also read the Staff Guide (coming soon) to know about the rules

Promotions

There will be trainer tests of some sort. We don't know how they will look like or who will handle them.
